Después de que la NME publicara su lista de los mejores tracks de la década, la publicación norteamericana Rolling Stone hizo lo propio con su lista de las 100 canciones de la década.

Como buenos ciudadanos, esta selección está dominada por su producto nacional, en algunos casos con buenas propuestas como el caso de los Yeah Yeah Yeahs, los Strokes y los Flaming Lips. Obvio, abundan los temas de Jay-Z y lo que su mano produce en los primeros puestos.
